Privacy policy
How NextGen Education handles personal data. Built on privacy-by-design, GDPR compliance, and respect for children’s rights.
NextGen Education takes privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it. It applies to the nextgeneducation.eu website and all related services.
Who we are
NextGen Education is an initiative of Future Proof Intelligence, based in the Netherlands. The programme is being developed through two Erasmus+ partnerships: KA240-SCH (school development) and POL-EXP T02 (ethical AI in education). For questions about this privacy policy, you can contact us at matt@nextgeneducation.eu.
What data we collect
Website visitors. This website does not use cookies for tracking. We do not use Google Analytics or similar services. No personal data is collected from visitors who simply browse the site.
Contact form. When you submit the contact form on the Get Involved page, we collect your name, email address, organisation (if provided), role interest, and message. This data is processed by Formspree, our form handling service, and forwarded to us by email. We use this data solely to respond to your enquiry.
Partner schools and team members. If you become a partner school or team member, we may collect additional contact details and professional information necessary for the Erasmus+ application and project coordination. This is always done with your explicit consent.
Children’s data
Protecting children’s data is at the core of how NextGen Education is built. The following principles apply to all student data within the programme:
Ownership. Children’s data belongs to the child and their family. Not to the school, not to the platform, and not to NextGen Education.
Consent. No student data is collected or processed without explicit parental consent. Schools and parents retain full control over what is stored and how it is used.
No third-party sharing. Personal data is never shared with third parties for commercial purposes. No advertising, no profiling, no selling of data.
Privacy by design. The platform architecture is built with data minimisation and privacy-by-design principles from the ground up, not as an afterthought.
GDPR compliance
NextGen Education complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679. This means:
Legal basis. We process personal data based on legitimate interest (website contact form) or explicit consent (programme participation). We never process more data than necessary.
Your rights. You have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data. You can withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at matt@nextgeneducation.eu.
Data retention. Contact form submissions are kept for the duration of our communication with you and deleted when no longer needed. Programme data is retained only as long as required for the Erasmus+ project and is deleted or anonymised afterwards.
Data location. All data is processed and stored within the European Economic Area.
EU AI Act alignment
NextGen Education is designed to comply with the EU AI Act (Regulation (EU) 2024/1689). Any AI components used within the platform are built with transparency, human oversight, and accountability as core requirements. Children are taught to understand and critically evaluate AI, not to be passively subjected to it.
Third-party services
Formspree. The contact form on this website uses Formspree for form processing. Formspree processes your form data to deliver it to us. Their privacy policy is available at formspree.io/legal/privacy-policy.
Unpkg. This website loads the AOS (Animate On Scroll) library from unpkg.com, a public CDN. This means your browser makes a request to unpkg.com when loading pages, which may expose your IP address to that service.
Changes to this policy
As NextGen Education develops and the Erasmus+ partnership takes shape, this privacy policy may be updated. Significant changes will be communicated clearly. The current version was last updated in February 2026.
